Benefits of clay brick

Modern brick-making techniques ensure that clay brick products are stronger and more durable than what they were centuries ago. As a member of the Clay Brick Association of South Africa we have a responsibility to ensure quality products so that architects, specifiers and builders can use clay masonry with absolute confidence.

The growing trend of crafting landscapes into eco-sensitive built environments has encouraged the use of natural products like clay brick to be successfully utilised in applications where durability and versatility are critical to the overall aesthetic value and design.

Apart form the many benefits derived from using clay bricks in construction, such as their durability, insulation properties and aesthetic qualities, recent findings show that they also produce less carbon emissions than any other masonry material, thereby contributing towards protecting the environment.
